Hoag breaks ground on Irvine health center

Hoag Hospital celebrated breaking ground on a new medical space at its Irvine campus Thursday morning.

Hoag Health Center Irvine, to be built near the medical group’s hospital at Sand Canyon Avenue and Alton Parkway, will encompass 150,000 square feet of medical space and provide primary and specialty care services.

The new space will be in line with “Hoag’s commitment to expanding healthcare services and programs in the Irvine community,” according to a news release.

The health center is expected to open in early 2016.
