Representatives of several charities and other organizations gathered Saturday at Newport Mesa Church in Costa Mesa for “‘Pray for Freedom,” an afternoon of prayer for victims of labor and sex trafficking.

The event, which was simulcast to churches, universities and communities nationwide, was presented by Vanguard University’s Global Center for Women & Justice, in partnership with the Faith Alliance Against Slavery and Trafficking and the National Weekend of Prayer to End Slavery and Trafficking.
