Police looking for missing Newport Beach woman

Police are searching for a 56-year-old Newport Beach woman who went missing Dec. 18 after she was released from a local hospital.

Nancy Ann Wall was discharged from Hoag Hospital after being treated for an undisclosed illness. Her family said she has a history of psychological issues and is “gravely disabled,” according to Newport Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella.

Wall’s mother, who lives in Los Angeles, reported her missing late last week.

Wall has blond hair, blue eyes and is 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds, police said.

She was previously reported missing in July by her 22-year-old son and was found in Ontario.

Though Wall is not believed to have access to a vehicle, she could be outside the Newport Beach area, Manzella said.

“We need every eye on the street to try to bring her home safely,” Manzella said.

Police ask anyone who might have seen Wall or can provide information about her location to call 911 or local police. Tips also can be given to Det. Garrett Fitzgerald at 949-644-3797 or gfitzgerald@nbpd.org.
