Lynn Langlois Nye December 23, 1944 - February 17, 2014

Lynn passed on Monday, February 17, 2014 in Newport Beach, California at the age of 69. Lynn was born in Seattle, WA on December 23, 1944. She and her husband, Bruce Nye lived in Corona del Mar, California for over 30 years.

Lynn graduated from USC with an accounting degree and was a CPA. During her early adult years, she was a model and appeared in many national magazines and TV commercials. She also rode on floats in at least one Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. She worked for an international accounting firm for many years and later was a controller for a major Century City law firm for several years.

After moving to Corona del Mar, she was a tireless worker in the community belonging to the National Charity League, PTA and Spyglass Hill Garden Club among others. Her love of genealogy was unmatched and demonstrated her dogged personality for accuracy traveling to Europe, Canada and around the United States in search of information about the ancestral past of hers and her husband’s family. And often performed research and documentation for friends’
families. Her genealogical pursuits were a source of joy and unquenchable efforts to document family history and information about their past.

She loved to travel and was happiest learning and visiting new vistas in several continents around the world. But her most cherished time was spent with family which was always the most important aspect of her life. She will always be remembered for her directness and drive for accuracy in everything she was involved in.

Lynn is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband, Bruce and their daughters, Mary (Finnerty), Elizabeth (Morris), Hadley and Alyssa (Davis), seven grandchildren, Brenden, Colin, Alex, Katie, Nick, Reese and Grant, her brother, Richard Langlois and sister in-law, Sally Langlois, as well as an extended family of colleagues and friends.

Services for Lynn will be held on March 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Pacific View Memorial Park and Mortuary in Corona del Mar. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Psoriasis Foundation, 6600 SW 92nd Avenue, Suite 300, Portland, OR 97223.
