Kenneth Carl Jones of Costa Mesa died on October 4, 2013 at Hoag Memorial. Born in Orange, CA to Alberta Marie and Emery Sidney Jones, he was a former commercial fisherman and avid outdoors man who loved nothing more than battling giant swordfish and albacore tuna off the coast of Mexico. He lived most of his life in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach and graduated from Newport Harbor High School in 1955. His happiest memories were camping, fishing, and hunting with his cherished family and friends. He was a devoted husband and father, and was the cornerstone which held his blended family together.

Ken is survived by his adored wife, Kyong; brothers Terry and David; children Kenneth, Gina, Tanya and Laurie; six grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his treasured and much missed son Nicky.

The funeral service will be held at 2pm October 12 at Harbor Lawn-Mt. Olive Memorial Park and Mortuary at 1625 Gisler Avenue, Costa Mesa, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the American Heart Association (www.donate.heart.org) or American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org/donate)
