Our family sadly had to say goodbye to June Adams Rawlins, the most wonderful mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend on September 25th.

June was married to William C. Adams from 1949 until his passing in 1995. Together they built a wonderful life in Newport Beach raising two children, Scoti and Gordon. June was known for her involvement in many charitable organizations, never tiring of helping others. Organizations she spent countless hours with included Children’s Home Society, Assessment and Treatment Service Center (ATSC) Orange County Lawyers Wives, and American Foreign Service (AFS).

June loved her time at USC where she received her degree in physical education and was named Helen of Troy her senior year. Part of her love for those days was her involvement with her beloved Tri Delta sorority. June continued supporting USC as a member of Cardinal & Gold and attending USC football games up until she died. June began teaching physical education at Garden Grove high school helping put her husband Bill through USC Law School. Retiring from teaching she devoted her time to raising her two children. After Scoti and Gordon had grown up June returned to work as a residential real estate agent in Newport where she worked for a number of years.

June is survived by her two children, daughter-in-law, Anne, son-in-law, Jay, five grandchildren and her 2nd husband, Harry Rawlins, whom she was fortunate to marry in 2003 and spend more than a decade with traveling the world. Memories will keep her alive in our hearts always. After her passing, phone calls from lifelong friends kept us smiling and laughing. June was a dear friend to many, the kind of friend that made your life better.

There will be a celebration of life for June at her home in Newport Beach on Sunday Dec 14th from 2-5pm. All are welcome.
