Betty Lee Hall
February 2, 1924 – April 2, 2013

Betty Lee Hall passed away peacefully in her sleep after a stroke disabled her eight years earlier. She was born in Los Angeles to Lois and Douglas Lee. Her father, a prominent architect, built several buildings on Wilshire Blvd.
Betty attended Los Angeles High School and USC. She left college early to marry Capt. Robert R. Hall in the Army Air Corp during World War II. Sadly he was killed early in the war.
After the death of her husband, she joined Western Air Lines as a Stewardess and flew for several years. Many of the women she flew with became lifelong friends.
She settled in Newport Beach in the sixties where she worked for Port O’Call. Betty enjoyed sailing, tennis and the fun times the period offered. She had many suitors, but Betty never remarried.
She was an amazing cook and hostess. Christmas was her time to shine. Her Christmas tree and parties were like no other. Everyone looked forward to Betty’s parties.
She was preceded in death by her older brother, Everett. She leaves no relatives, but many good friends.
A donation in Betty’s name can be made to the National Wildlife Foundation, 1400 16th St., Washington, D.C., 20077-6420 or Jane Goodall Institute for Wildlife Conservation, P.O. Box 599, Ridgefield, Connecticut 06877.
