‘Pastor Chuck’ served as Pastor of Senior Ministries at Corona del Mar Community Church since 2003. A beloved pastor and friend, Pastor Chuck also led several weekly bible studies, served on several boards and committees, all dedicated to the life and growth of the Church.

Pastor Chuck began his service as minister in 1955 at Wesley United Methodist Church in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He then served at the Methodist Church in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania. At that time, he partially retired from full-time ministry and established the Hoover Air Conditioning and Heating business, stating that he liked “fixing things.” During that 15-year span, he was frequently called on to preach at the Spurgeon Methodist Church in Santa Ana, the Congregational Church of Avalon in Catalina, and the Old World Village Church in Huntington Beach, California, where he often preached in the German language. In 1988, Pastor Chuck dissolved his air conditioning-heating business to return to the full-time ministry. He served as Pastor of the Woodruff Community Church in Long Beach from 1988 to 1998. He then served as Minister at Bixby Knolls Towers Retirement Center until 2003.
