William Maurice Bouska
July 23, 1924 - Dec 6, 2013

Bill passed away peacefully after a brief illness at age 89. He was born 7th of 8 children in Minnesota during the Depression. His father passed away when Bill was 16 and Bill left school to work to support his family. He later returned to school and was able to catch up and graduate with his class in 1943. He joined the Marine Corp and was sent into battle on the South Pacific island of Peleliu. Nearly 10,000 were killed or wounded on Peleiu and Bill never forgot them. He was proud to be a Marine.

After the war he married his wife of 66 years, Carole. They had five children, Vicki Murphy, Ed(deceased)(Sue), Bill(Georgeann), Kathryn Amburgey(Ron), Marianne Hild(Rick) and 10 grandchildren, 6 great, and 2 great-great. He is also survived by his sister Mary Hartson.

Bill moved his family to Costa Mesa in 1963. He was the owner of a neon sign business, Duke’s Electric, and then Bill’s Crane Service.

The death of his father, his early entry into the work force and the experience of World War II shaped Bill’s perspective. Bill recognized that his treasure was his family. His love was abundant and deep. He was a living example of good character and devotion. God worked through him in many ways. He made an impact on our lives and we will dearly miss him! Semper Fi.

Services will be held at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant (2850 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa) on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00.
