Angelina Famularo, a long time resident of Sun City, California died on Friday, March 1st, 2013. Angelina (aka Angela) was born July 3, 1917 and was 95 years old. Since her husband, Tony Famularo’s passing in February 2000; she had been residing in Orange County… She died while briefly residing at The Heather’s (under the loving care of St Michael’s Hospice) in Costa Mesa. Prior to that, she resided at Costa Neuporte, an independent living apartment complex in Costa Mesa for ten years… She is survived by her two daughters, Angela Glaser and Laura Milanese Husband both of Newport Beach and her Granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Glaser of Oxnard. She survived her only grandson, Curtis George Husband who sadly passed in 2007 at the age of 28… She is also survived by her two sisters, Sue Marro of New York and Helen Ferrara of New
Jersey and her two brothers, Danny Fusaro of Arizona and Jimmy Fusaro of Long Island, New York.

Angelina and Tony had been very active residents of Sun City. Members of the Travel Club and Italian Club. Angelina was active in the Swim Club, Ceramics and Painting. She was one of the original Merry Makers and very much enjoyed entertaining the elderly. She would talk about her experiences for years to come… Angelina’s parents were both born in Italy and as a child, she was raised in Manhattan,NewYork with her four brothers and three sisters… When she married Tony in 1940; while raising their two daughters; relocated to Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey where they built their family home.

It was not until early 1970’s, they sold their home and moved West to California to be closer to their two daughters… Angelina loved to cook and one of her specialties was manicotti. She especially loved being around other Italian people and would always ask “Are you Italian”?
Ever since losing Tony thirteen years ago; she has looked forward to being together with him again and had specifically requested she be buried in her bridal gown, which she will be…

A service will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery on Friday, March 8th promptly at 1:45pm… Since Tony was a Marine Veteran; he had carefully pre-arranged that they ultimately would be interred together…Angelina died on March 1st, what would have been Tony’s 100th birthday… Amass will be held at a future date in Newport Beach…
