A driver also turned in a replica of a semi-automatic pistol, one similar to weapons carried by officers, according to the release.

The latest DUI checkpoint is part of a series of recent checkpoints funded by grants from the California Office of Traffic Safety. The checkpoints are meant to educate the public and keep them vigilant of the dangers of intoxicated driving.
