Good news for Irvine residents who may have developed something of a Habit habit at one of the burger grill's eight other Orange County locations: There's one opening Dec. 12 in Heritage Plaza at 14474 Culver Drive, a news release said.
But first, on Sunday and Monday, the restaurant will host three fundraisers for local nonprofits.
From noon to 2 p.m. Sunday all proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. of Orange County and the Inland Empire. Then, proceeds that evening from 5 to 7 p.m. will benefit the Irvine High School Athletics Booster Club.
Lunch from noon to 2 p.m. Monday will benefit Share Our Strength, which connects children with nutrition programs.
The restaurant will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 11 and will officially open at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 12. Regular hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
The new Habit location will be Irvine's first — despite the fact that the company is headquartered there. The restaurant will seat 102 and employ about 35, according to the release.
