Anniversary committee to begin planning process Tuesday

The first meeting of Costa Mesa’s Anniversary Planning Committee is expected to lay foundation for the group, discuss the selection of leadership and have a presentation of Costa Mesa trivia.

The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Emergency Operations Center at 99 Fair Drive, according to the meeting’s agenda.

City CEO Tom Hatch will present the overview of the committee’s purpose, the group will discuss the process for public involvement, as well as hear a historical reflection on Costa Mesa’s beginning in 1953.

The city turns 60 on June 29, 2013. The full agenda for the meeting can be found on the city’s website.
