COSTA MESA — Jeanne Flint, executive director and chief executive officer for the Costa Mesa-based nonprofit Women Helping Women, has been hired as Providence Speech and Hearing Center’s new chief development officer.

Flint had held her position at Women Helping Women since 2004. In her first two years at the W. 17th Street charity, she increased revenue by more than 35%, turning around an organization that was in severe decline, according to a news release.

Flint will step into her new role as Providence’s chief development officer, a newly created position, on Nov. 15.

Her new responsibilities will be to oversee the company’s fund development activities as well as marketing, communications and public relations.

“We’re thrilled to have someone as experienced and skilled as Jeanne Flint on board,” Chief Executive Officer Linda Smith said in a prepared statement. “She is going to make a great addition to our staff at Providence Speech and Hearing Center, which continues to be the leading service provider to speech and hearing impaired children and adults of Orange County and beyond.”

Flint has an MBA from National University in Costa Mesa and a bachelor’s in liberal studies from Cal State Long Beach.

Since its founding in 1965, Providence Speech and Hearing Center in Orange has been dedicated “to continually provide the highest standard of services in the identification, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of speech, language and hearing disorders for persons of all ages, races and socio-economic backgrounds,” according to its mission statement.
