Boy hit by car to recover fully

A boy who was hit by a car in Costa Mesa will get reconstructive surgery on his leg and is expected to recover fully, police said Tuesday.

On Saturday afternoon, police responded to a call about a car crash in the 1000 block of Valencia Street, where a driver had apparently hit a 7-year-old boy who was in a car garage while it was parking.

The driver was arrested for not having a license and had an immigration hold placed on him by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to published reports.
