COSTA MESA — The city has launched a new webpage to make it easier for residents to access information about the proposed 2011-12 budget, officials announced in a news release Monday.

The Behind the Budget Numbers page has links to video clips, PowerPoint presentations memos and other documents related to the drafting of the city’s fiscal year budget. The website will be updated as information about spending, revenue, cash reserves, pension and retirement, health-care costs and equipment replacement funds becomes public, the release said.

Future updates will include an organizational restructuring plan for the Police Department and City Chief Executive Tom Hatch’s final budgetary recommendations, which are to be presented at the June 14 City Council study session.
