The Orange County Arthritis Walk on Sunday at UC Irvine raised more than $500,000, according to news release.

The funds will go toward research on arthritis, which affects 400,000 adults and children in Orange County, and to support summer camp programs for children with arthritis.

More than 3,000 participants turned out in the rain to walk as part of “Let’s Move Together,” a nationwide campaign by the Arthritis Foundation to encourage physical activity.
