Two arrested after stabbing in rival gang fight

Two men were stabbed in a fight involving gangs in Costa Mesa early Saturday, police said Monday.

German Morales, 20, and Heriberto Tejada, 23, both of Costa Mesa, were arrested in connection to the stabbing of two rival gang members, said police Lt. Rob Sharpnack.

About 1:36 a.m. Saturday, police received a call of unknown trouble, and responded to the gang fight in the 2000 block of Anaheim Avenue, Sharpnack said.

The two men were apprehended shortly after. The two victims were stabbed in the abdomen and lower back-kidney area. They were taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana with non-life threatening injuries.
