$400 stolen from drugstore

A thief made off with about $400 after breaking into a Costa Mesa drugstore Friday morning, police said.

Someone cut the lock on the gate outside of Ramsay Rexall Drugs, at 2246 Newport Blvd., at about 3:30 a.m., and then smashed the windows, said Sgt. Darrel Raney.

No pharmaceuticals were stolen, Raney said.
