Water district changes meeting schedule

Starting March 14, the Mesa Water District board’s meetings will take place on a monthly basis and will start earlier.

The five-member board will meet at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month at the district’s headquarters, 1965 Placentia Ave., Costa Mesa.

Previously, the board met at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The board does not have a meeting next week.

Mesa Water officials said the new meeting schedule will promote improved effectiveness, efficiency and transparency, according to a news release.

Meeting agenda packets will continue to be available at least 72 hours in advance of each meeting.
