A Los Angeles woman was killed after two cars crashed into her vehicle as it sat disabled on the 405 Freeway in Costa Mesa on Friday night.

Hannah Bartle, 21, succumbed to her injuries at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. California Highway Patrol officials said Bartle’s Suzuki Aerio was involved in a solo crash in the northbound No. 2 lane just south of the Santa Ana River at about 11:03 p.m. Friday when it became disabled.

Bartle’s car was stuck there, in the dark, rainy weather, when another vehicle in the same lane tried to swerve around Bartle’s car but ended up sideswiping it. A few minutes later a second car rear-ended Bartle’s Suzuki. The drive of that vehicle suffered minor cuts. Bartle was rushed the hospital, where she later died.
