Righeimer hosting Meet the Mayor sessions

Costa Mesa residents can ask questions of Mayor Jim Righeimer in monthly, casual Meet the Mayor events.

The first is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at Pitfire Artisan Pizza, 353 E. 17th St., Costa Mesa.

“It’s not an unusual thing for mayors to do, go out there and meet people in the city,” Righeimer said. “I think it’s really important that we do it.”

He said he hopes it will spur more dialogue than the three-minute public comment limit during council meetings and promote local businesses that host the sessions.

The council chose Righeimer in December to serve a two-year term as mayor.
