Flyers will have their choice of fast food burgers when John Wayne Airport opens Terminal C. The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to keep McDonald's in Terminals A and B, and to sign a lease with CKE Restaurants, which will operate a Carl's Jr. / Green Burrito in Terminal C, which is still under construction.

In advance of the vote, supervisors expressed concern that McDonald's prices were more than 20% higher than the Carl's Jr. prices, but they chose the Golden Arches anyway. Some supervisors and speakers pointed out that Carl Karcher, the founder of Carl's Jr., was a prominent figure in Orange County history.
