The Orange County Bar Assn. has installed its first female African-American president.

During Thursday’s 2012 Judges’ Night and Annual Meeting in Irvine, Dimetria A. Jackson took on the group’s leadership role.

A graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Virginia School of Law, Jackson is a freelance lawyer with Montage Legal Group and chief executive of redBAMBINA.com, an online retail boutique catering to babies, children, and nursing and expectant women.

In addition to her service on numerous OCBA committees, Jackson has served on the California State Bar’s Ethnic and Minority Relations Committee and on the board of Pink Ladder, a nonprofit that encourages and mentors African American women personally and professionally. She serves on the boards of the OCBA Charitable Fund, the Orange County Bar Foundation and InTouch Credit Union.
