A white Costa Mesa man was convicted of a hate crime for an unprovoked attack on two Latinos outside a convenience store, authorities said Friday.

Chad Jurjaks, 31, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of a hate crime causing injury in connection with his March attack on two men at a Costa Mesa 7-Eleven, the Orange County district attorney’s office said.

Jurjaks yelled “F--- Mexicans!” as he punched the two men, each in the head, without provocation, the D.A.’s office said. The men, ages 42 and 26, were entering the store with family members at the time.
