Due to the demand of these titles, checkout is limited to two items at a time per card and video games are not able to be placed on request. They can be found on the shelf next to the Rental DVDs.

Graphic novels are other collections rapidly gaining in popularity now that they have found their own shelf spaces in both adult and young adult areas.

The library carries many classic works in this field like “Alan Moore’s Watchmen,” “V for Vendetta,” “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen,” and “Batman: The Killing Joke.”

You can also find the works of Neil Gaiman in the graphic novel collection. The library carries the Sandman collection, Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, Neil Gaiman’s Murder Mysteries, and “The Last Temptation,” among others!

Other exciting titles include J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” as retold by Check Dixon in graphic novel format, Mark Kneece’s visual retelling of “Walking Distance,” a classic Twilight Zone story written by Rod Serling, the captivating ongoing stories of “Fables” and “Jack of Fables” by Bill Willingham, Joss Whedon’s “Angel” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” series, and many superhero adventures from Batman to the X-Men.

Some popular young adult graphic novels include Rumiko Takahashi’s long-running “InuYasha” series, the “Shonen Jump” manga series by Nobuhiro Watsuki, and even The Simpson’s inspired comics and graphic novels of Matt Groening.
