To our Dad, Daniel Belove,

We remember all the times that you took time out of your day to teach us lessons about life that we still haven’t forgotten.

We remember all the times that you spent countless hours helping us with homework, school assignments and those darn art projects we always procrastinated on until the last possible minute.

We remember all the times you made us delicious dinners; barbequed to perfection and cooked expertly every time.

We remember family nights, especially Scrabble, and watching sports and NCIS.

We remember all the laughs we’ve shared and all the times you’ve bailed us out of trouble and helped us when we needed it the most.

But what we remember most is that you’ve always been there for us, through thick and thin and just how proud of us you are and how much you loved us through all of the good and bad.

Happy Father’s Day, Dad, we love you and thank you for everything you do for us!

With Love Always,

AJ and Lolo

Dear Art,

You are an amazing husband and outstanding father. You have really made a difference in my life and our daughters’ lives. You are a fantastic provider.

I know it has been tough with our “role reversal” but you have really been remarkable. Thank you for the opportunity and support you have afforded me while I work and commute to and from Alaska every week. You cook, you clean, you work, you do the laundry, you take care of the dogs!

We are so thankful for you and we love you more every day. This message to you just scratches the surface of how much we love you.

Love, Jennifer, Teagan, Bree, Paige and the doggies

Dad, you came to the U.S from Mexico in 1986 with only $5 in your pocket.

Now you have a son in college who is considering Harvard law school, a daughter who excels in both academics and sports, and two utterly handsome 4-year-olds.

Your work ethic has made you the top employee at Harbor Side. You have dedicated your life in upholding sound moral values, not only for yourself, but for your family.

Dad, I would say it’s my dream in life to be an attorney, but really, it’s my dream to be you. Our dad is hardworking, honest, fun to be with and understanding. He loves his wife, seven kids, and 16 grandchildren, and is very patient, easy going, knowledgeable and smart.

He is a very creative and a hard worker.

He built a family business so he could provide for seven children. He worked hard, but was always there when we needed help or wanted him to come see us in a performance.

He is always doing something to better himself or others. He sets a wonderful example for everyone.

He is the best dad.

Love, the Kettley children

Happy First Father’s Day to my Daddy.

He is special to me because he changes my diapers, flies me around like an airplane, and reads me Shakespeare to put me to sleep.

He is also funny because he says things like “plug that cry hole” and “look who hopped on the fussy bus.”. He is also writing me a play a day until I am one-year-old.

I love you Daddy.

Athena, aged two months.

We want to thank our daddy, Matthew, for being the most wonderful, loving, caring and hard working daddy and husband in the world!

His love and devotion to his family is always his first priority!

Thank you for always putting our needs first and showing us every day just how special we are!

Your hard work allows our mommy to be able to stay home with us. Priceless!

You are the best husband and father on earth! We are happy and loved because of you! Thank you for our wonderful life!

Love, your princesses, Riley, Taylor and Mommy Shea!

*

Daddy,

You mean more than just a father to me. You’re my support and role model.

I love you.

We admire our Daddy, Tom Fischbacher, because he loves us unconditionally.

He is always there for us.

He does hard things, like learning to fly a helicopter, providing us an example of perseverance and how to face challenging tasks.

We appreciate how diligently he works to support our family.

Our dad is tough, generous and godly.

He shows these traits every day, like when he drives us to school, goes to our games/events and helps with school work. The best thing about Tom Fischbacher is that he is our Daddy.

These are a few reasons why we admire our dad!

I think my Daddy is the best!

Things I like to do with my Daddy are ... go swimming in the desert and play “sticky” on his back, go to Ruby’s, play ping-pong, have sock fights, go in the Jacuzzi, watch movies on our couch when we open it to make a vacation bed, having him referee my soccer games, and most of all, cuddle-time.

Kate Hess, 8

I like having little dates alone with my Dad.

I like to play soccer and baseball with him in the front yard. I’m happy he is my football and baseball coach.

I like having sock fights, going to Dave and Busters, taking walks around the block shooting baskets on the neighbors hoops, and I love when we play with our dog Roxy.

Dear Dad,

I loved the story of how you worked your way through Louisiana State University in the 1930s, owning your own snack shack, cooking 5-cent burgers, three-for-a-dime hot dogs, and driving around in your Model T Ford.

You also told me about your other businesses during college: selling tickets to the football games and running the hat and coat check concession at the weekend dances, which allowed you to save $6,000 by your graduation from law school in 1938 — not bad for the Great Depression. You told me that, one year, you made more money than the university president!

As I was growing up, even though I saw you work many hours at your business ventures in Laguna Beach, you chose to retire at age 45, not only because you wanted to spend more time with me, but also because you had everything that you wanted — a condo in Newport Beach with a used Cadillac in the garage. You had told me that to be happy, keep your wants simple.

Later in life, I noticed your Depression-era frugality in how you refused to replace a broken item if you could fix it yourself. You taught me how to wash a car with one bucket of water because “why squander $5?” — 1960s prices for a car wash.

You also took home doggie bags and ate the contents for the next day’s meal. After your passing, I cleaned about four to five full doggies bags out of the freezer — waste was just not in your make-up.

You passed on timeless values to me; industry, thrift, conservation, self-reliance and also the refreshing charm of an unassuming manner, all of which I try to teach to my children.

Thank you for instilling in me these wonderful principles which, because they were such a part of you, allow you to live on today.

“A Poem to our Dad Michael Klarin on Father’s Day”

By Amanda, Benny and Heather:

Playing catch, shooting hoops or swimming in the pool -

Our dad is the best — he’s super cool!

Ready with a joke; always finds our smiles -

There’s not a better dad around for miles.

Patient, loving, kind and fun —

When it comes to good advice — he’s the one!

Thank you Dad for taking such good care of all of us.

You make it look easy — you never fuss.

Happy Father’s Day to the man we love the best

You rock Dad; you’re better than all the rest!

We thank God every day for our Father.

He has been both Dad and Mom. No words can express his love for us, his generosity, warmth and kindness.

Born and raised during the Great Depression, he fought in the Korean War, loved, married and lost his wife, our mom, and continues to have a superb outlook in life.

He is quite the craftsman, a great woodworker.

Happy Father’s Day, Manuel Raigosa

Happy Fathers Day, Dad!

To Mark,

Dad, we love you because you play with us so much.

You let us cook with you on the barbeque.

You take us fun places, and let us play Wii.

You work so hard, so mom can stay home, and always be there for us.

We think you’re the best dad in the world. Happy Father’s Day.

Love,

Jen, Julia, and Ava
