Clothing store says, ‘Anchors away!’

This time it’s for real. Decades-old teen, casual wear and denim retailer Anchor Blue — originally known as Miller’s Outpost — has spent years in and out of bankruptcy courts but is now calling it quits. The apparel fixture for California youth is shutting down all of its stores in coming weeks. Deals are at 40% to 60% off; local locations include stores in shopping centers like Laguna Hills Mall, Santa Ana’s MainPlace, The Block @ Orange and Anaheim Plaza (where its outlet store is). Be warned — if you have an Anchor Blue gift card gathering dust in your wallet, it expires Friday, as does the store’s return policy. Merchandise is now in the hands of a professional liquidator. Visit anchorblue.com.
