Kobe Bryant’s former housekeeper has dismissed her wrongful termination lawsuit against the Los Angeles Lakers superstar after reaching a settlement, according to the law firm representing Bryant.

Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, who live in Newport Coast, countersued Maria Jimenez for talking to the media about her time with the family. They claimed she had broken a confidentiality agreement after talking to dozens of news organizations about her suit.

The firm representing Bryant, Loeb & Loeb LLC, issued this statement:

“The matter has been resolved as both parties have dismissed their respective complaints against each other. No money has been paid to Ms. Jimenez by Mr. and Mrs. Bryant. The Bryants maintain that the favorable rulings they received from the judge at the outset of the case, as well as the judge permitting the cross-complaint to go forward, speak for themselves as to the lack of merit of Ms. Jimenez’s claims.”

Jimenez had sued the couple for wrongful termination for being fired after seven months of working in the home. She worked for the family from 2007 to 2008.

She claimed in her suit that Vanessa Bryant made her retrieve a blouse’s price tag out of a bag containing dog feces, and that the NBA player’s wife was verbally abusive to her. Jimenez’s lawyer declined to comment on the suit, only saying his client is “doing well.”
