Sentencing for a Costa Mesa woman accused of targeting Latinos and getting them loans they couldn’t afford was moved to Nov. 4.

In May, Luz Belem Corral pleaded guilty to seven felonies — including conspiracy to defraud another of property, grand theft, acts constituting forgery and a variety of sentencing enhancements — for her involvement in an identity theft and bank fraud ring.

The ring was linked to Douglas Nissan of Orange car dealership, according to court records and Daily Pilot archives.

Prosecutors said Corral and three others used their dealership jobs to target Spanish-speaking customers into signing up for unaffordable loans.
