Authorities are searching for two men who allegedly threatened a 54-year-old woman with a knife and demanded valuables Wednesday afternoon.

Costa Mesa police said the suspects entered her home in the 2200 block of Pomona Avenue about 2 p.m. One of them twisted her arm and forced her onto a couch, where she was threatened with a knife, said Lt. Mark Manley.

The woman gave the men about $2,000 in gold jewelry and her roommate’s purse. The men then took off in what police believe was a white Ford Expedition, which was parked on an adjacent street.

The door to the home was unlocked when the men entered.

Police responded with a helicopter search, but the two suspects were not found, Manley said.

The two men were described as between 25 and 30 years old. One was wearing a black shirt and ripped pants, Manley said.

The woman was uninjured.
