Man convicted of raping three women

A 22-year-old was convicted Monday of raping three women, including two he met on MySpace, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.

Jason Ara Erpinar of Yorba Linda met a 22-year-old woman on MySpace in 2008, took her to two Orange County parks and drank alcohol with her before taking her to a Newport Beach hotel where he raped her while she was severely intoxicated.

The woman woke up with a cracked tooth and a scraped face, and reported the rape to Newport Beach police.

Erpinar also raped an 18-year-old woman he met on MySpace in 2009, after taking her to a party where she got “severely intoxicated,” the D.A. said in a news release.

La Habra police interviewed Erpinar’s ex-girlfriend while investigating the 2009 assault, and discovered Erpinar was abusive and raped his ex-girlfriend between August 2006 and October 2007 when she was 17.

He is scheduled to be sentenced to 15 years in state prison Wednesday, according to prosecutors.
