SMITH. Tamblin Clark age 85
Passed away peacefully, after a long illness, in Newport Beach CA on
December 24th, 2011 Tam resided in Costa Mesa, CA for over 40 years.
He was born in Chicago, IL on November 8th 1927.
He attended and graduated from the Fountain Valley School in Colorado
Springs, CO in 1945. He then went on to graduate from the Wharton
school of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania in 1949. After
several years of working on Wall Street and in England, he returned to
his home town of Neenah, WI to work for the family company, The
Menasha Corporation. Later, he moved to Southern California to work
for the family company branch located in Anaheim. After many years of
running this division of the company he became a part of Men-Cal, a
subsidiary of the Menasha Corporation for the rest of his professional
career. Tam also served on the Menasha Corporation Board of Directors
until 1993.
Tam was pre-deceased by his parents, Carlton R. and Theda C. (Peters)
Smith of Neenah, WI, a sister Carla S. Radford of Oshkosh, WI, two
brothers, Oliver C. Smith of Neenah, WI and Clark R. Smith of Wenham,
MA. He is survived by his sister Sylvia S. Vaccaro of Madison, WI and
a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held for Tam Smith on Friday December 30th, 2011 at
the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home located at
17712 Beach Blvd. Huntington Beach, CA at 11:00 AM.
Later, he will be transferred to Neenah, WI where he will be buried in
the Smith Family plot at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
A celebration of Tam’s life will be held in Neenah, WI sometime in the
spring.
