These two merry guys served as goodwill ambassadors for the holiday season when they appeared together at last week’s City Council meeting.

Each possesses a calm nature, affection for people and mellowness around other animals. Because of circumstances that forced their separate owners to surrender them, both arrived at the shelter this fall. Bruce Wayne was perhaps so named for his Batman character’s desire to do good. At just over a year old, he is a handsome domestic longhair cat.

Marteeni is that indeed, a “teeny” 6-year-old Chihuahua mix. He is exceptionally quiet, waits patiently for his walks and tolerates the silly costumes imposed upon him by humans. Come meet these charmers, whose adoption fees are discounted 25% all week when this announcement is mentioned.
