Pet of the Week

Perky-looking pup Milo conceals a sad story. He was surrendered recently when a divorce situation left him essentially homeless.

His former owner described this 7-year-old Jack Russell terrier mix as playful, friendly and responsive to commands in Spanish. Upon arrival at the shelter, Milo was quiet and well behaved, patiently awaiting his walks and attention from volunteers. However, he has become increasingly vocal and frustrated by the confinement of kennel life.

Such behavior is understandable in a breed known to be highly energetic and keenly intelligent — never happier than when focused on an engaging activity.

Milo desperately needs an environment where regular exercise, training and companionship are present. He would probably thrive in an active household, perhaps as an only dog. Healthy and house-trained, Milo will be neutered upon adoption. His fees are discounted 25% all week with mention of this announcement.
