Zubies Dry Dock in Huntington Beach will celebrate its 20th anniversary Jan. 7 by rolling prices back to 1992.

Celebrate and enjoy food and drink specials all day. Zubies is a great casual dining spot for seafood, steaks, ribs, chicken, pizza and oysters served from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

And for those still looking for a place to ring in the New Year, the classic eatery will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will offer a New Year’s Eve special. It will include grilled rib-eye and 5-ounce baked coldwater lobster tail dinner with baked potato, vegetable and boat-size salad bar. The cost is $19.95.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Detroit Bar

Local music fans can fete the New Year at one of the best live venues in Orange County, the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa.

The show includes three renowned stars in the music industry: Junkie XL, Jason Bentley and Cosmic Kids. Tickets to the event cost $25 online, and include a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The doors will open at 8 p.m. and attendees must be 21 and older.

New menu at Seasons 52

Seasons 52, the fresh grill and wine bar restaurant at South Coast Plaza, just debuted a new winter menu inspired by abundant ingredients of the season.

At the eatery, you can enjoy wood-fire grilled, brick-oven cooked and roasted specialties like venison chops and a farmers market veggie plate (none over 475 calories), sip one of the 60 wines available by the glass, and enjoy piano music in the evenings.

Chef Tim Kast is preparing an organic tomato stack salad with arugula, blue cheese, chopped bacon and a balsamic glaze, along with grilled venison chop on venison and mushroom ragout with truffle mashed potatoes.

Vegetarians will love the farmers market vegetable plate with roasted Bosc pears, butternut squash, grilled tofu and almond tabbouleh, or the roasted spinach stuffed silver dollar mushrooms, or the golden beets with wasabi sour cream, and a limited-time eggnog mini indulgence dessert.

Two new cocktails are also available: a Ruby Red Grapefruit martini with grapefruit-infused Prairie Organic Vodka and agave nectar; and a skinny chocolate espresso martini with a mix of Voli Vanilla Espresso Vodka, chocolate coconut water and agave nectar.

New eatery at John Wayne Airport

Local travelers flying in and out of John Wayne Airport can now dine at Javier’s new concept restaurant, and the first Anaheim Ducks Breakaway Bar & Grill in the new Terminal C Marketplace.

The new Javi’s will offer fresh seafood and regional dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including fresh salsa and tortillas.
