Thursday, black folding chairs will be $4.99, regularly $12.99. Friday, globe lightbulbs will be $3.99 instead of $6.99. Saturday, 12-gallon tote boxes will be $1.99 instead of $6.99. Sunday, get a six-pack of glass champagne flutes for $1.99, regularly $4.79. Monday, a storage box in various colors, sized to fit inside Expedit storage systems, will be $1.99 instead of $5.99. Party it up: New Year’s Eve dining and entertainment options abound in the area this year. Join AnQi at South Coast Plaza for a “Barrio Chino” experience that replicates Havana in 1954. Cuban and Latin music will be performed, and cigar rollers, tangoing stilt walkers and mahjong tables will provide entertainment. Cuban cocktails and Cuban Asian fusion cuisine will be served for one night only. Multiple pricing options include an early dinner to a four-course, family-style meal and show. A late-night champagne toast also is available. Prices range from $53 to $225 per person. A VIP package for 18 guests is $4,500. Guests are asked to wear white and pearls. Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza will offer a six-course tasting menu from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Courses include oysters and caviar, tuna sashimi, diver scallops with risotto, duck breast, prime rib medallions, a meringue and Mont Blanc chocolate. The meal begins with a roasted prosciutto-wrapped shrimp amuse bouche, followed by a choice of salad, fillet mignon with Cabernet sauce paired with an 8-ounce lobster tail, and a supplement option for a black and white roulade dessert for an additional $9.95. Coast Hwy., Newport Beach, will offer two dining options on New Year’s Eve: The regular menu is available from 5 to 7 p.m., and a $125 second seating, beginning at 9 p.m., includes five courses, deejay entertainment, party favors and a midnight champagne toast.
