Roxy is a playful 4-year-old Labrador retriever mix. She came to the shelter in October after being subject to neglect by her previous owner, who allowed her to become severely undernourished.

Since then, Roxy has been eating well and gained eight pounds to fill out her girlish figure. The previous owner loved her, but failed to understand a dog’s dietary and health-care needs. Although still a bit bewildered in new surroundings, Roxy loves people and is eager to play with canine friends. In fact, when taking walks, she prefers that another dog accompany her. She is healthy, spayed, house-trained and ready for any form of exercise.
