Pet Of The Week

Share

Turkey, a curiously named poodle mix, arrived at the shelter earlier this month as a stray.

Just about a year old, this bouncy boy sports a white and apricot coat that begs to be cuddled. He’s very affectionate with people and also behaves in a friendly fashion with other dogs. Turkey is healthy, but still needs to be neutered, and is eager to play or go for walks.

Because the poodle is a very intelligent breed, it should be relatively easy to channel the youthful exuberance of this young dog and produce an obedient canine citizen. As with all of our shelter pets, you are welcome to change his name!

However, what’s not to love about “Turkey” this time of year? His adoption fees are discounted 25% all week when you mention this announcement at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach.
