A 1-year-old American Eskimo dog, Polar is handsome, healthy and very affectionate — with a soft white coat that begs to be petted.

Still very young and true to his breed, this is an active dog who thrives on consistent training and regular exercise, including play. Highly intelligent, eager to please and easy to train, the Eskimo needs a “job”; channeling this personality results in a lovable and well-behaved companion.

Polar walks reasonably well on leash, but needs to temper his enthusiastic approach to new dogs and people. Brushing, bathing and attention to tear-staining (typical of white dogs) will keep his coat in top condition. Polar is an outstanding choice for a family dog and a warm winter friend!
