Pet of the Week

Share

Lizzy is a lovable shar-pei mix who is, despite her wrinkles, only a year old. When space allows, the OCHS “rescues” dogs from other California shelters that are overcrowded.

Lizzy is one of several highly adoptable dogs to arrive recently from such a shelter. She had been found with her leg caught in a fence and needed a few stitches, which have healed nicely. This now-healthy girl is house-trained, rarely barks and walks very amiably on leash.

Lizzy is affectionate, and members of her breed are known for being devoted family dogs. If your New Year’s resolutions include getting more exercise and smiling more often, Lizzy would be happy to take you for walks and bring joy into your life.
