Looking for New Year’s Eve festivities? Party like it’s 1999 (or 2014, if you must)

As the clock nears midnight on Dec. 31, Orange County residents have plenty of options to make the countdown to 2015 fun.

Tickets are on sale for XL NYE, a block party at the Triangle in Costa Mesa. The event, hosted by Newport Beach-based Identity Management, a group developing and managing nightlife and hospitality projects, will be feature different entertainment at each restaurant at the Triangle, including Black Knight Gastro Lounge, H20 Sushi & Izakaya, La Vida Cantina, Saddle Ranch Chop House, Yard House, Tavern + Bowl and Sutra.

La Vida Cantina’s fiesta will offer a regular menu from 4 to 10 p.m. After 10 p.m., patrons 21 and older can celebrate with live music, a DJ and drink specials in the restaurant’s dining room and patio.

Sutra nightclub will transform into a New Year’s Eve wonderland with the outdoor bar and lounge hosting local DJs and theatrics. General admission tickets for Sutra start at $40, and hosted bar admission starts at $160.

For star-studded musical performances, AnQi restaurant at South Coast Plaza will present a New Year’s Eve concert and party with “American Idol” winners Kris Allen and Candice Glover headlining the show beginning at 9 p.m. The singers will perform with other talent from “American Idol” and “The Voice.”

Scott’s Restaurant & Bar will make “Kinky Boots,” a Broadway musical playing at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, part of its New Year’s Eve celebration. The evening will include valet at Scott’s for the evening, a three-course dinner, an orchestra terrace ticket at the center and complimentary reentry to Scott’s for festivities after the show.
