The Costa Mesa Foundation honored 10 community organizations Sept. 30 and handed out $12,000 for their help in producing the 2014 Concerts in the Park series at Fairview Park in July.

Each organization received a check ranging from $250 to $2,250 for its participation, according to a news release from the nonprofit charitable group.

“One of the foundation’s goals is to increase the community’s awareness of the awesome, nonprofit Costa Mesa organizations,” said Costa Mesa Foundation President Lea Lowe in the release. “The concerts, and this event, are a chance for our community partners to meet each other and explore collaborative opportunities.”
