When Becky Rigali-Jackson returns to her alma mater to demonstrate how to teach fitness classes for seniors, she knows exactly who to bring along.

Seniors from Newport Beach joined Rigali-Jackson on March 4 at Cal State Fullerton to help her instruct an undergraduate class of about 40 kinesiology majors, as she does once a semester. Some of her seniors from a Pilates class she teaches in Laguna Beach came as well.

"It's really inspiring for the undergrads to see," she said. "They're all in very good shape. It's amazing."

In addition to the Pilates class, Rigali-Jackson teaches an hour-long aerobic fitness class weekday mornings at the Newport Coast Community Center. Rigali-Jackson is an Irvine Valley College instructor, and says the emeritus class offers an affordable option.
