The National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China will present feats based on traditions dating back thousands of years with a one-day performance at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, in Costa Mesa.

The two performances, at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, will feature juggling, tumbling and balancing acts, diving through rings, juggling using feet, and martial arts. Traditional and modern music will play in the background.

The company’s 2015 tour of North America, titled “Peking Dreams,” was performed for the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 and at more than 600 shows in China, Europe, Japan, Singapore, among other locations.
