The new touring production of “The Phantom of the Opera” will be the first to tour the U.S. in three years. Below are facts and figures about the new production, according to Broadway Booking Office:

  • More than 6,000 beads are on the chandelier.
  • The chandelier weighs 1 ton.
  • The chandelier was designed by Howard Eaton, who designed the Olympic rings for the London ceremonies.
  • About 50 wigs are used in the show every night.
  • More than 1,200 costume pieces are used during the show.
  • Each ballerina goes through a pair of ballet shoes every two to three weeks.
