Eagles tribute to start OC Fair Hangar series

The OC Fair has announced this summer’s lineup for the Hangar, an aviation-style venue at the center of the Costa Mesa fairgrounds that hosts bands, celebrity chefs and even Lucha Libre wrestling.

The schedule for 2013, released Tuesday, begins July 12 with “Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles” and continues each day of the fair through Aug. 11. Among the other acts are tributes to David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Prince and others, along with original artists including Ozomatli and Common Sense.

The Hangar, which opened in 2010, is one of three main entertainment venues at the fairgrounds, which also hosts the Action Sports Arena and Pacific Amphitheatre’s Toyota Summer Concert Series.

Tickets for Hangar shows range from $15 to $20 and cover fair admission as well; the culinary events on July 20 and Aug. 1 are free with fair admission. For a complete schedule, visit https://www.ocfair.com.
