Community Animal Network needs donations to spay and neuter cats where the rising feline population is dependent on humans for survival.

City and county animal control do not provide humane-trapping services to stop the overpopulation of cats. Animal lovers together with angry residents complain, and all ask for help.

A successful spay-neuter project can humanely control the rising uncontrolled population of cats. Volunteers are willing to implement the trapping and altering program called TNR (trap, neuter and return) if enough funds can be raised.

TNR enhances the health and safety of the public by trapping cats and altering kittens as young as 8 weeks, providing the animals with vaccinations, and constructing feeding stations that are managed by volunteers.

Close to 250 cats have been recognized as needing to be altered, and the cost estimate is $100 per cat. If the overpopulation of felines is not addressed, cats can become victims of cruelty: landlords’ poisoning, angry neighbors and even mean children.
