MELODY

This is a very heart-warming story that led me to meet an amazing mother and daughter that reside in a “no-pet” housing apartment that took action to literally save the dog that we now call Melody from euthanasia.

Lori first contacted Community Animal Network by e-mail after she and her 14-year old daughter, Alex, visited their local animal shelter in Long Beach. Alex was unable to forget the experience of witnessing a very large dog that was seemingly unwilling to get up off the cold floor, and she begged her mother to find the dog help.

One of my trademark sayings is, “Our network links people and pets through community action.” You can help complete Melody’s happy rescue story. Please call (949) 759-3646 to adopt this very sweet and loving 5-year-old Shar-pei boxer mix.

We continue with our goals to raise money to help local animals. We have received $1,951 over the last several months to help us with rescue costs.

Rescuing cats and dogs is costly; please consider supporting local animals this holiday by mailing your checks to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA, 92658 and memo your check “Help Local Animals” nonprofit tax ID 33-0971560.

DiAnna Pfaff-Martin is the founder of Community Animal Network.
