E-Book Training

Newport Beach Public Library offers a hands-on eBook training session from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Central Library Friends Room, 1000 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach. Library staff will demonstrate Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, iPad and Sony readers and provide personal instruction for downloading free eBooks from the Overdrive site. The Orange County Great Park and city of Irvine are holding a holiday gift drive for the families of Irvine’s adopted Marine unit through Dec. 4. Unwrapped gifts will be collected for the Marines at the Great Park Visitors Center and at its Sunday Farmers Market.
